The peaceful serenity of the Camp Harmon site offers a calm atmosphere and deep connection to nature and the environment.

The Integrative Leadership Academy will provide an engaging and challenging integrative education in the community of Boulder Creek. ILA has found a “home” at which to realize its vision to prepare students to become self-actualized, life-long learners and leaders equipped to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world, and contribute to the progress of their community and society.

ILA’s Integrative education model focuses on the development of the whole person, including academic knowledge, knowledge of self, nature, community and the global environment. The ILA school day is broken into elements requiring distinct spacial accommodations. These can be summarized into three types; small groups, large groups, and whole school community.

“Students flourish in small schools where they are supported and known well, and ILA students learn in small classrooms where teaching and tutoring are tailored to their learning profiles and individual learning modalities.”

Some of the existing facilities at Camp Harmon include: 14 cabins, lodge/dining hall, commercial kitchen, arts and crafts center (with kiln room), garden, animal farm, pool, field, hiking trails, putting green, play structure, outdoor gathering areas (fire circle, riverside deck).

“The ILA Way: The ILA student practices integrity,
kindness, discipline, justice and joyful learning.”
